Hi everybody,
Long time, no see… Sorry, a lot of things in my head. Well, recently I dumped my sandwich toaster, a device, appliance, actually, I only used about five to six times a year. Nevertheless, it took up some room in a kitchen cupboard. I had really thought that we needed it, but recently I discovered a very good way to toast sandwiches in a standard oven that is found in every kitchen anyway. Well, here is how it works to make outside crispy and golden, but inside hot and soft toasted sandwiches:
- Prepare sandwiches as used to (well, if you need ideas for some spread, please read my next post)
- Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius (about 480 degrees Fahrenheit) upper/lower heat
- Put the sandwiches on the middle rack
- Bake for about 4 to 5 minutes (check the color and decide, here it depends on the kind of bread you are using)
- Turn the sandwiches
- Bake for another 3 minutes
Well, and your’re done!
Bon apetite!
