Hi everybody,
Recently, I found another way to watch UK-TV outside the UK, and it even supports livestreaming of Channel 4 and Five (however, only the livestreams, no on-demand like IPlayer, 4oD or ITVPlayer are supported). This time, there is no need for a UK-Proxy or a VPN. Just go to www.filmon.com and you have a quite wide variety of UK-Channels available. Since it seems that they already had some legal fights with the broadcasting stations, I am rather positive that this will be an option that is available for a longer time.
If you want an easier way to watch, try to set up XBMC. Then follow the instruction of the XBMCHub-Community (http://www.xbmchub.com/blog/2013/05/26/how-to-instantly-configure-xbmc-with-the-xbmc-hub-wizard-beta-addon/) and voíla, the ‘notfilmon’-addon enables you to watch live UK-TV.
Unfortunately, XBMC does not yet support DLNA-streaming of the plugins, however that might change as it seems that this is already in development. (Well, yes, before you ask, I tried the Universial Media Server with the jumpy-plugin, but my Bravia CX-TV, 2011-model does not like it – it always gives an error message about not being able to read the list index, but it works with an Android device).

Thanks for the article. I don’t see iTV coming to my country anytime soon. However, there are plenty of workarounds available to access it here in my country. Personally, I use UnoTelly for more than a year and I can access iTV like I am in UK.
